Katere Coatings specialise in protective coatings. These services require highly skilled people and well-maintained and up-to-date equipment. Katere operates painting booths at it’s New Plymouth workshop as well as mobile units which can operate onsite anywhere in New Zealand.
All our protective coating work is completed in a professional manner by experienced and well trained staff. As well as taking health and safety measures, covering all personnel in the area, Katere takes precautions to prevent any property or environmental damage.
Industrial Cleaning
Katere Coatings provide an extensive range of industrial cleaning options to handle all aspects of plant and equipment cleaning. Whether in preparation for a protective coating application, removal of surface contamination or corrosion. Katere has the cleaning solution for the job.

- Abrasive blasting
Our experienced and professional staff can advise on the most efficient and environmental friendly solution for you. While we undertake work onsite we also have a well equipped blasting booth for both large and small jobs.
Other Services
Rope Access
Katere can supply rope access teams certified to IRATA International standards for those out of the ordinary jobs eliminating the need for scaffolding in some circumstances.
Confined Space
All our staff are trained and experienced in confined space entry and we can provide teams and equipment to undertake all types of entries.
Industrial tank cleaning
Katere staff are trained and are experienced in Industrial tank cleaning with vast experience in offshore FPSO cargo tank cleaning and oil industry related services.
Offshore services
Katere staff hold BOSIET certificate enabling them to undertake all these services in the offshore environment.
